Playing at Wakehurst

Greg and I had a working from home day on Thursday as our wine fridge was being delivered, so we headed to Wakehurst Golf Club for a late afternoon 9 holes and it was awesome! Well, our playing wasn't so great as it's a pretty hard course and we're still learning, but the course is beautiful.  We saw loads of fuzzy ducklings with sunshine halos, a gorgeous tiny black bunny, lots of normal boring but still cute brown bunnies and so many water dragons! There was one dragon on the path back up to the club house that just wouldn't move. We even poked it with a stick! In the end we had to squeeze past it and try not to run it over with our pull buggies.

I played some ok shots, especially my drive on the first hole. As per every other time we've played (except at Lane Cove) I tried to hard and my form went completely out the window for quite a few holes. Air swings and topped shots galore! So frustrating. I just need to learn to not freak out and relax!

After we had a drink at the club house - it has an awesome view across Manly Dam. So peaceful! Definitely want to go back and play again. Maybe when we move we can go live close by so it can be our local...

Also realised I've missed quite a few... we played at Long Reef with Greg's dad a while back, and also had numerous rounds at Lane Cove where I am definitely getting better!
